About Jie Wu

In addition to instructing students as a Laura H. Carnell professor at Temple University, accomplished computer scientist Jie Wu directs the institution’s Center for Networked Computing and oversees internal affairs for its College of Science and Technology. He has also served tenures as associate vice provost for international affairs and chair of the Department of Computer and Information Sciences. In recognition of his achievements in the fields of computer communications systems and information technology networks, Jie Wu has received numerous professional honors including a recent Outstanding Service Award from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Technical Committee on Distributed Processing.

In addition to educating the next generation of computer scientists in the academic setting, Dr. Jie Wu regularly appears before his peers as a featured speaker. Over the past several years, he has delivered keynote presentations at multiple major professional gatherings including the International Conference on Information Technology in Medicine and Education and the International Conference on Wireless Algorithms, Systems, and Applications.
